FAQ
Tinting & valeting
The things people ask us most: legal limits, prices, how long it takes, what's covered and how to book.
Window Tinting
Non-metalised film starts at £100 and ceramic at £180, with the final figure depending on your vehicle. Every price is published by vehicle type on our window tinting page, so you can see roughly what your car will cost before you get in touch.
In the UK the front windscreen must let through at least 75% of light and the front side windows at least 70%. Rear side windows and the rear screen have no legal limit, so that is where the darker shades go. We'll always advise what's legal for your car. See every shade on a real car if you want to picture it.
The front doors take around 30–45 minutes; a full car is usually done within a couple of hours. Larger SUVs and vans can take a little longer. We'll give you a clear time when you book.
Yes. Vans are priced on the same scale as cars, and there are a few in our work if you want to see how they turn out.
Not with quality film fitted properly. We use colour-stable, non-metallised film, and our non-metalised and ceramic tinting carries a lifetime warranty against peeling, bubbling and fading.
Please leave them up for a few days while the film cures. We'll give you simple aftercare advice when you collect the car.
Yes. Our film is non-metallised, so it won't interfere with your radio antenna, GPS or parking sensors.
Chameleon, lights & chrome delete
No. The lifetime warranty covers our non-metalised and ceramic window film. Chameleon is a different film and isn't included, and we'd rather tell you that now than after you've booked. See chameleon tinting for what it does and what it costs.
There is no legal tint percentage for lights, which is why you'll see different numbers quoted online. The law judges the result: headlights must still show white or yellow, rear lights red and indicators amber, with no obvious reduction in brightness. At MOT, anything on the lens that visibly dims the light or changes its colour is a failure. We fit to a shade that stays the right side of that, and we'll tell you if the look you want wouldn't pass.
Yes. It's vinyl film rather than paint, so it comes off cleanly and the trim underneath is left as it was.
Valeting
Both interior and exterior: a safe hand wash, wheels and tyres, glass, a full interior vacuum and wipe-down, and a streak-free finish. Larger or heavily soiled cars may need a tailored package.
Most valets take a couple of hours depending on the size and condition of the vehicle. We'll confirm the timing when you book.
Always. We only use premium, paint-safe products and careful hand techniques to protect your finish.
